NAD is the nation’s largest organization safeguarding the accessibility and civil rights of deaf and hard of hearing Americans in education, employment, health care, and telecommunications. Gallaudet is the largest liberal arts university for the Deaf in the world. NTRID is a local chapter of RID in Nashville, TN. Access this site for helpful information from the Nashville area. TTU is a Christian university in Chattanooga offering degrees in sign language interpreting. This is a non-profit organization that provides interpreting services to the Chattanooga and surrounding areas. CSTCC, a local college in the Chattanooga area, provides a two year intensive American Sign Language Studies Program. ASLTA is the only national organization dedicated to the improvement and expansion of the teaching of ASL and Deaf Studies at all levels of instruction.
